Profusa Inc. (NASDAQ: PFSA) outlined its revenue projections through 2030, targeting $200 million to $250 million based on planned launches of its Lumee tissue-integrated biosensor platform for oxygen and glucose monitoring.
The Berkeley-based digital health company expects to begin European Union commercialization of its Lumee tissue oxygen monitoring system in the second quarter of 2026, followed by U.S. market entry in the first quarter of 2027. The company projects 2026 revenue between $0.5 million and $2 million.
Profusa anticipates adding continuous glucose monitoring to its EU offerings in mid-2027, with projected 2027 revenue of $9 million to $13 million. The company estimates it has coverage of approximately 35% of the European population through its intended distribution channels.
"We believe Profusa is bringing to market a first-of-its-kind, disruptive biochemistry monitoring platform designed for use both in the clinic and at home," said Ben Hwang, Profusa's chairman and CEO. The technology enables continuous, real-time measurement of tissue oxygen directly within the body.
By 2030, the company projects Lumee oxygen monitoring revenue of $100 million to $120 million across U.S. and EU markets, with additional indications including glucose monitoring contributing $100 million to $130 million in targeted revenue.
CFO Fred Knechtel said the company expects EU tissue oxygen monitoring revenue at €600 to €800 per procedure, with equipment revenue projected at €30,000 to €40,000 per medical center annually. EU CE marking GMED certification is anticipated in late first quarter 2026.
The company estimates a $10.5 billion global addressable market for tissue oxygen monitoring across peripheral artery disease, chronic wounds, and critical limb ischemia, representing more than 716,000 procedures annually in Europe. For glucose monitoring, Profusa targets a population of over 500 million people with type 1, type 2, or pre-diabetes worldwide.
