PacBio reports fourth quarter revenue growth of 14% year-over-year

PacBio (NASDAQ: PACB) announced preliminary unaudited revenue of $44.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2025, representing a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Full year 2025 revenue reached $160.0 million, up 4% from the previous year.
The company's consumable revenue reached $21.6 million in the fourth quarter, compared to $18.8 million in the same quarter of 2024. For the full year, consumable revenue totaled $81.9 million versus $70.3 million in 2024.
Instrument revenue for the fourth quarter was $17.3 million, up from $15.3 million in the prior year period. However, full year instrument revenue declined to $53.8 million from $65.8 million in 2024.
PacBio placed 21 Revio systems and 42 Vega systems in the fourth quarter. For the full year, the company placed 61 Revio systems, down from 97 in 2024, and 140 Vega systems compared to seven in the previous year.
The annualized Revio pull-through per system remained steady at approximately $242,000 for the fourth quarter, consistent with the $240,000 reported in the same period of 2024.
The company ended the quarter with approximately $279.5 million in cash, cash equivalents, and investments, compared to $389.9 million at the end of 2024.
"We finished the year with strong momentum driven by increased Revio and Vega sales as well as record consumables revenue, reflecting meaningful traction across a range of clinical sequencing applications," said Christian Henry, President and CEO of PacBio.
The preliminary financial information is subject to revision and will be finalized when the company files its 2025 Annual Report on Form 10-K. PacBio expects to report its final fourth quarter 2025 results during a conference call in February.
