MOVI Q1 Comps Up 1.5%; Reaffirms Guidance

Movie Gallery, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOVI) announced a 1.5% increase in same-store revenues for the 2005-first quarter. Previously, the company indicated that same-store revenues for the period were expected to be in the range of 0.5% to 1.5%.

The company continues to forecast revenues for the 2005-first quarter to be in the range of $228 million to $233 million, an increase of 12% to 15% over the comparable period last year. In addition, the Company is still projecting earnings to range between $0.56 and $0.60 per diluted share.
