Kingstone announces fiscal 2026 earnings guidance

Kingstone Companies Inc. (NASDAQ: KINS) provided financial guidance for fiscal 2026 and updated projections for fiscal 2025, according to a company statement.
The Northeast regional property and casualty insurance holding company projects direct premiums written growth of 15% to 20% for fiscal 2026, compared to 12% to 17% expected for fiscal 2025. Net premiums earned are anticipated to reach $233 million in fiscal 2026, up from the projected $187 million in fiscal 2025.
The company forecasts net income per share on a basic basis of $2.15 to $2.85 for fiscal 2026, compared to $2.10 to $2.50 expected for fiscal 2025. On a diluted basis, earnings per share are projected at $2.10 to $2.80 for fiscal 2026, versus $1.95 to $2.35 for fiscal 2025.
Kingstone expects to maintain its net combined ratio between 79% to 83% for both fiscal years. Return on equity is projected at 26% to 36% for fiscal 2026, compared to 30% to 38% anticipated for fiscal 2025.
The company plans to expand outside New York State in 2026, targeting two new markets while maintaining operations in New York through organic growth and strategic opportunities. Chief Executive Officer Meryl Golden stated the expansion will be funded through cash generated from operations.
Kingstone's guidance assumes no major catastrophe events and anticipates a moderate reduction in catastrophe reinsurance costs for the 2026/2027 treaty year. The projections do not include potential gains or losses from the investment portfolio.
The company projects weighted average shares outstanding on a basic basis of 14.4 million for fiscal 2026, compared to 13.9 million expected for fiscal 2025.
