JCP March Comps Up 0.1%; Reaffirms Q1

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP) said comparable department store sales increased 0.1 percent for the five weeks ended April 2, 2005. The company also said it believes that its previous first quarter earnings guidance of $0.48 to $0.53 per share remains appropriate.
