ImmuCell Corporation (NASDAQ: ICCC) reported preliminary sales of $6.4 million for the second quarter of 2025, an 18% increase from $5.5 million in the same period of 2024, according to a company statement.
The animal health company showed consistent growth across multiple time periods. Six-month sales reached $14.5 million, up 14% from $12.7 million in the prior year. Nine-month sales totaled $22.3 million, representing a 25% increase from $17.8 million. Annual sales for the twelve-month period ended June 30, 2025, were $28.3 million, up 22% from $23.2 million.
The company reduced its order backlog to under $100,000 as of June 30, 2025, down from approximately $3.4 million as of May 6, 2025. ImmuCell attributed the sales increases partly to replenishment of the distribution pipeline following a period when product supply fell short of demand.
"Our investments to increase production capacity to over $30 million per year were challenging and did take longer than we had planned," said Michael F. Brigham, President and CEO. The company is evaluating additional investments to increase capacity by 33% to approximately $40 million.
ImmuCell is initiating investigational use of its Re-Tain product to test market acceptance over the last six months of 2025. The company submitted its Non-Administrative New Animal Drug Application in January 2025, with approval pending resolution of inspectional observations at its contract manufacturer's facilities.
The company will host a conference call on August 15, 2025, to discuss the quarterly results. ImmuCell develops products for dairy and beef cattle health, including its First Defense product line.
