Hot Topic (HOTT) March Comps Down 12.7%; Lowers Q1 EPS Guidance

Hot Topic, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOTT) said March comp store sales fell 12.7% and the company lowered their Q1 earnings guidance.

The company said that as a result of the lower than expected sales performance quarter-to-date, it now estimates a net loss for the first quarter of 2006 in the range of approximately $0.01 to $0.04 per diluted share, which compares to the Wall Street consensus of a $0.03 profit.
