HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) stated that it expects industry-wide personal computer unit volumes to decline roughly mid-single digits in percentage terms in calendar year 2027 compared to calendar year 2026, according to a regulatory filing.
The company described this as a preliminary planning assumption consistent with current third-party industry forecasts, not as formal financial guidance for fiscal 2027.
HP noted the assumption is dependent on market performance in the second half of calendar 2026, which it characterized as fluid and subject to change.
The disclosure was made in connection with HP's earnings conference call for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, held on August 26, 2026. The company stated it remains in its planning period for fiscal 2027 and said it is premature to provide specific outlook details for that fiscal year.
