GeoPark reports 27,380 boepd production in second quarter 2025

GeoPark Limited (NYSE: GPRK) reported consolidated average oil and gas production of 27,380 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) for the second quarter of 2025, according to the company's operational update released Wednesday.

The production figure represents a 6% decline from the first quarter of 2025, primarily attributed to the divestment of the Llanos 32 Block and temporary blockades at the CPO-5 Block that resulted in 16 days of production shut-ins. Year-to-date consolidated average production reached 28,223 boepd.

The company drilled and completed 5 wells during the quarter, bringing the year-to-date total to 10 wells. GeoPark made an exploration discovery at the Currucutu-1 well in the Llanos 123 Block, which initially produced 1,360 barrels of oil per day gross.

Production at the Llanos 34 Block averaged 17,605 boepd net during the quarter, down 3% from the previous quarter. The company's waterflooding projects contributed approximately 6,500 boepd gross, exceeding plan by 27%. A workover campaign delivered 2,100 boepd gross and reduced water production by 23,000 barrels of water per day.

At the CPO-5 Block, average production reached 6,100 boepd net, down 8% from the first quarter due to the operational disruptions. The company noted that the field is now operating normally.

The company's Llanos exploration activities increased average production to 2,150 boepd net, driven by 2,008 boepd net from the Llanos 123 Block. The Toritos Sur-3 well was drilled and completed in June 2025 with initial production tests of 900 bopd from the Mirador Formation and 630 bopd from the Barco formation.

GeoPark plans to drill 2-4 gross wells in Colombia during the third quarter of 2025, targeting appraisal and exploration projects in the Llanos 123 and Llanos 104 blocks.

The company will report its second quarter 2025 financial results on August 6, 2025, after market close, followed by a conference call on August 7, 2025.
