Ford sales rise 6% in 2025 to highest level since 2019

Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) reported total U.S. sales of 2,204,124 vehicles in 2025, an increase of 6% from the previous year, marking the company's highest annual sales since 2019. The automaker's market share reached 13.2%, up 0.6 percentage points from 2024.

The F-Series maintained its position as America's best-selling truck for the 49th consecutive year, with sales of 828,832 vehicles, up 8.3% from 2024. Ford's hybrid vehicle sales reached a record 228,072 units, representing a 21.7% increase year-over-year.

Ford's compact pickup, the Maverick, achieved record sales of 155,051 vehicles, an 18.2% increase from the previous year. The Transit van also set a new annual sales record with 161,797 units sold, up 5.9%.

The Explorer SUV remained America's best-selling three-row SUV with sales of 222,706 vehicles, up 14.7%. Ford's Bronco line posted record annual sales of 146,007 units, a 33.7% increase.

Electric vehicle sales totaled 84,113 units across three nameplates, with the Mustang Mach-E accounting for 51,620 of those sales. This represents a decline from 2024's electric vehicle performance.

Ford Pro Intelligence paid software subscriptions grew approximately 30% year-over-year in the fourth quarter, reaching about 840,000 active subscriptions. The company's BlueCruise hands-free driving system surpassed 8.5 million cumulative hours.

Lincoln brand sales totaled 106,868 vehicles for the year, with the Navigator achieving its best sales performance since 2007 at 22,185 units, up 42.8%.

Ford maintained its position as the leading commercial vehicle seller in the U.S., with a 42.9% share in Class 1-7 trucks and vans, up 1.8 percentage points from the previous year.
