Ferrari unveils 2030 strategy with electric car launch and expansion plans

Ferrari N.V. (NYSE: RACE) announced its 2030 strategic plan, outlining product launches, facility expansions, and environmental targets through the end of the decade.
The Italian luxury carmaker plans to launch an average of four new car models per year between 2026 and 2030. By 2030, Ferrari's product lineup will consist of 40% internal combustion engine vehicles, 40% hybrid models, and 20% electric cars.
Ferrari will begin deliveries of its first fully electric vehicle, the Ferrari elettrica, in late 2026. The company has developed strategic electric components including high-voltage battery packs, e-axles, inverters and electric engines at its e-building facility in Maranello.
The automaker reported growth in its client base to 90,000 active clients, representing a 20% increase compared to 2022. Ferrari plans to open new Tailor Made customization centers in Tokyo and Los Angeles in 2027, along with flagship lifestyle stores on Bond Street in London and in Soho, New York in 2026.
Ferrari set environmental targets including reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by at least 90% in absolute terms by 2030 compared to 2021 levels. The company also aims to cut Scope 3 emissions by at least 25% in absolute terms by 2030 compared to 2024.
The company announced the establishment of M-TECH Alfredo Ferrari, an advanced technical training center in Maranello created through collaboration with Fondazione Agnelli, local municipalities and the Emilia-Romagna Region.
"With the new Ferrari elettrica, we once again affirm our will to progress by uniting the discipline of technology, the creativity of design and the craft of manufacturing," said John Elkann, Executive Chairman of Ferrari.
Ferrari has produced approximately 330,000 vehicles since its founding, with over 90% still in existence today. The company maintains a network of 180 authorized dealers globally.
