Federated Department (FD) Nov Comps Up 8.5%, Raises December Comp Guidance

Federated Department Stores, Inc. (NYSE: FD) said, on a same-store basis, Federated's sales for November were up 8.5 percent.
Federated increased its same-store sales guidance for December. Same-store sales now are expected to be up by 5 percent to 8 percent, compared with previous guidance for an increase of 3 percent to 5 percent. Same-store sales for the fourth quarter as a whole are expected to increase by 5 percent to 7 percent. The company continues to expect total fourth quarter sales of $9.1 billion to $9.4 billion.
