Dollar Tree Inc. (NASDAQ: DLTR) hosted its 2025 Investor Day, presenting a three-year financial outlook that projects earnings per share growth of 12 to 15 percent annually for fiscal years 2026-2028.
The company expects fiscal 2026 EPS to grow in the high teens percentage, driven by higher discrete cost benefits in that year. The projected growth rate builds on an underlying long-term annual EPS growth target of 8 to 10 percent, enhanced by the elimination of recent discrete costs related to tariff mitigation, multi-price store conversions, lost distribution capacity, and the sale of Family Dollar.
Chief Executive Officer Mike Creedon and his executive team presented their operational strategy during the event at the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City. The presentations covered product assortment, customer experience, store operations, supply chain evolution, and growth strategy for Dollar Tree as a standalone banner separate from Family Dollar.
Dollar Tree reaffirmed its third-quarter and fiscal 2025 outlook, originally provided in September. The company reported comparable same-store sales growth of 3.8 percent quarter-to-date for the third quarter and repurchased 2.8 million shares for $271 million during the same period.
The retailer operates more than 9,000 stores and 18 distribution centers across 48 states and five Canadian provinces, employing approximately 150,000 associates. The company positions itself as a multi-price, technology-enabled retailer following strategic changes that allow merchandise pricing beyond its traditional dollar price point.
Dollar Tree noted that its EPS outlook for the third quarter and fiscal year 2025 has not been adjusted to reflect the benefit of third-quarter share repurchases. The information was provided in a company press release statement.
