Shares of Dendreon (Nasdaq: DNDN) are surging in early action Thursday after providing fourth quarter gross PROVENGE guidance of approximately $82 million.
There are varying consensus estimates on the gross sales, but some are saying it was a "beat." Bloomberg said the consensus is $72.2 million, but claims this "may not compare."
The company also sees modest quarter-over-quarter growth in 2012.
Gross PROVENGE revenue for the year was approximately $228 million.
The company also announced a number of other updates, inccluding the fact that the CMS updated their coverage policy to now cover the infusion costs associated with the administration of PROVENGE (this was originally announced in Nov.)
Share are up 25 percent in early action.
