Beamr outlines 2026 strategy focused on autonomous vehicle market

Beamr Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: BMR) issued a shareholder letter outlining its 2025 achievements and 2026 strategic direction, with plans to convert validated use cases into commercial agreements across autonomous vehicle, artificial intelligence and media markets.

The video optimization technology company reported entering the autonomous vehicle market in 2025, transitioning from validation to commercialization planning. CEO Sharon Carmel stated the company completed proof-of-concept evaluations with automotive suppliers and AV developers, validating up to 50% reduction in video storage while maintaining model stability with accuracy changes below 2%.

Key 2025 milestones included launching a GPU-accelerated video compression solution for autonomous vehicles at NVIDIA GTC Paris in June. The company received the NAB Show Product of the Year award in April for its AV1 codec solution and won Best of Show at IBC 2025 for a live 4K sports broadcasting demonstration.

Beamr joined Amazon Web Services' ISV Accelerate program in February 2025 and completed SOC 2 Type II compliance certification in December. The company presented at six industry shows across media, entertainment and autonomous vehicle sectors.

For 2026, Beamr plans to focus on execution through partner-led deployments and production-ready solutions. The company aims to establish relationships with what it terms "lighthouse" accounts - global industry leaders requiring extended evaluation cycles due to video's role in their infrastructure.

Beamr's technology reduces video file sizes while preserving quality, targeting applications in media, user-generated content, machine learning and autonomous vehicles. The company holds 53 patents and previously won an Emmy Award for Technology and Engineering.
