Beam Global reports 2025 revenue decline amid federal policy shift

Beam Global (NASDAQ: BEEM) reported revenue of $28.2 million for the year ended December 31, 2025, down from $49.3 million in 2024, according to a press release statement. The company attributed the decline primarily to the cessation of U.S. federal government electric vehicle charging infrastructure orders following changes in federal fleet electrification policies under the new administration.

Fourth quarter 2025 revenue reached $9.0 million, representing a 7% increase year-over-year and a 56% increase from the third quarter. The company reported that 70% of Q4 2025 revenue came from new and expanded products, while commercial revenue grew to 72% in 2025 from 38% in 2024.

Gross profit for 2025 totaled $3.5 million with a 13% margin, compared to $7.3 million with a 15% margin in 2024. Excluding non-cash items, the company reported a 23% gross margin for 2025 versus 21% in 2024.

Operating expenses increased to $31.1 million in 2025 from $19.0 million in 2024, including a $10.8 million goodwill impairment charge. The company reported a net loss of $27.0 million for 2025, compared to $11.3 million in 2024.

The company formed Beam Middle East, a 50/50 joint venture with Platinum Group UAE, and delivered products to over 20 U.S. states, Canada, multiple European markets and the Middle East. Beam Global also launched new products including autonomous wireless charging systems and expanded its battery business with new customers including a Fortune 500 automotive manufacturer.

The company reported $6.0 million in backlog as of December 31, 2025, with 50% from international sources, which grew to $9.0 million by March 31, 2026. Working capital stood at $8.9 million at year-end 2025, down from $13.8 million in 2024.
