ArcBest Corp. (NASDAQ: ARCB) outlined financial targets for 2028 and detailed strategic initiatives at its investor day event. The Fort Smith, Arkansas-based logistics company presented goals including consolidated non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $12-$15 and operating cash flow of $400-$500 million.

The company targets an asset-based non-GAAP operating ratio of 87%-90% and asset-light non-GAAP operating income of $40-$70 million by 2028. ArcBest also aims for a consolidated non-GAAP return on capital employed of 16%-19%.

Chief Executive Judy McReynolds said the company has transformed into a technology-enabled logistics provider serving more than 30,000 customers in what it describes as a nearly $400 billion addressable market. CEO-elect and President Seth Runser outlined three strategic pillars: accelerating profitable growth, increasing efficiency, and driving innovation.

ArcBest reported that daily managed solutions shipments have grown at a 44% annual rate since launch, with customer retention exceeding 90% and a pipeline exceeding $1 billion. The company added approximately 2,000 new core asset-based less-than-truckload shipments per day through targeted sales campaigns.

The logistics provider shifted toward small and medium business truckload customers, which now represent 40% of revenue compared to 20% in 2021. These customers generate 60% higher profit per load, according to the company.

ArcBest expanded its LTL network by approximately 800 net doors since 2021, enabling service to 80% of U.S. businesses within one hour. The company reported $13 million in annual savings from city route optimization and $12 million in annualized savings from continuous improvement training initiatives.

The company plans to launch ArcBest View, a unified digital platform for quoting, booking, and real-time visibility, in early 2026.
