Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT) reported preliminary traffic results for June 2025, showing passenger growth across its operations compared to the same period in 2024.
The airline carried 2,005,932 passengers in June 2025, representing a 9.6% increase from 1,830,067 passengers in June 2024. Revenue passenger miles rose 9.8% to 1.77 billion, while available seat miles increased 12.4% to 2.09 billion.
Load factor decreased to 84.6% from 86.6% in the prior year period, a decline of 2.0 percentage points. The company operated 13,872 departures in June 2025, up 13.5% from 12,217 departures in June 2024.
For the second quarter of 2025, Allegiant transported 5,077,788 passengers, an 11.0% increase from 4,572,769 passengers in the second quarter of 2024. Revenue passenger miles grew 12.2% to 4.61 billion, while available seat miles expanded 16.1% to 5.63 billion. Quarterly load factor was 81.9%, down from 84.7% in the prior year quarter.
The airline's estimated average fuel cost per gallon was $2.39 for June 2025 and $2.42 for the second quarter of 2025.
Total system operations, which include scheduled service and fixed fee contracts, showed 2,020,042 passengers in June 2025, a 9.2% increase from the prior year. Available seat miles for total system operations rose 10.9% to 2.14 billion.
