AMTD Digital reports 1,086% revenue increase in first half

AMTD Digital Inc. (NYSE: HKD) reported revenue of $73.2 million for the six months ended April 30, 2025, representing a 1,085.9% increase from $6.2 million in the comparable period of 2024, according to the company's unaudited financial results.

The revenue growth was primarily driven by the consolidation of The Generation Essentials Group (TGE) since October 2024, which brought L'Officiel and The Art Newspaper businesses under AMTD Digital's umbrella. Fashion, arts and luxury media advertising and marketing services income reached $10.0 million, compared to $4.4 million in the prior year period.

Hotel operations, hospitality and VIP services income increased 172.4% to $13.6 million from $5.0 million in the comparable period. The company also recorded $47.9 million in fair value gains on financial assets measured at fair value through profit or loss.

Profit for the period increased 49.5% to $51.5 million compared to $34.4 million in the prior year. Basic earnings per share were $0.22, down from $0.46 in the comparable period of 2024.

Total assets reached $899.1 million as of April 30, 2025, compared to $502.9 million as of October 31, 2024. Net assets amounted to $548.0 million, or $4.34 per share.

Employee benefit expenses increased significantly to $8.6 million from $2.2 million in the prior period, primarily due to hotel operations expansion and the TGE consolidation. Finance costs rose 51.7% to $6.1 million due to higher outstanding bank borrowings.

The company, headquartered in France, operates a digital solutions platform focusing on digital media, content and marketing services, investments, and hospitality and VIP services.
