Alan Bachkhaz and Walter Bernardo: Voices of Crypto Twitter

September 1, 2026 7:45 AM EDT

Alan Bachkhaz, known as Booksey and DaoKwonDo, and Walter Bernardo, known as ShiLLin_ViLLian and Shilllin, have spent years building communities through Crypto Twitter and X Spaces.

Crypto Twitter changes quickly. Influencers arrive with new market cycles, narratives disappear, and communities frequently move on with them.

Booksey and ShiLLin_ViLLian have done something considerably harder: they stayed.

Both have remained active through NFTs, Solana, memecoins and the rise of decentralized and leveraged trading, while X Spaces became central to the communities surrounding them.

Years of Hosting X Spaces

Bachkhaz has publicly stated that he has hosted Spaces since the feature's earliest days.

Bernardo's public Web3 history also stretches back years. In August 2022, ShiLLin_ViLLian appeared on Rug Radio's FOMO HOUR discussing Solana, NFTs, marketplaces and launchpads.

As their audiences increasingly overlapped, Spaces hosted by Booksey and ShiLLin_ViLLian became regular meeting points for Crypto Twitter.

Archived Spaces provide an indication of their reach:

  • 722,000+ tuned-in listeners -- ALPHA + PERPS + MEMES
  • 640,000+ -- HUGE MARKET CATALYST
  • 562,000+ -- DIRECT + ALPHA
  • 508,000+ -- CRYPTO COLONIZERS
  • 400,000+ -- SAVING CT > EXPOSING CT
  • 146,000+ -- Space featuring Base creator Jesse Pollak

The subjects changed with crypto itself: NFTs, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, memecoins, perpetuals and market conditions.

The community remained.

From Crypto Twitter to CZ

Their Spaces have also given their communities direct access to some of the industry's most recognizable figures.

Base creator Jesse Pollak joined a Booksey Space in 2025.

Another significant appearance came from Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance, who joined ShiLLin_ViLLian's Space for a live conversation surrounding Aster and the perpetuals market.

The conversation was public, and CZ's comments from the Space were subsequently covered by crypto media.

For the communities surrounding Bachkhaz and Bernardo, that access became part of the attraction of Spaces. Traders and community members weren't simply reading commentary about major industry figures. They could listen and participate while those conversations happened.

Building Communities Through Multiple Cycles

NFTs eventually cooled. Solana returned. Memecoins exploded. Perpetual futures became increasingly important.

Booksey and ShiLLin_ViLLian adapted with each transition.

But their communities were built around more than simply listening to market commentary.

Over the years, both have repeatedly shared opportunities, information and access with the people following their accounts and joining their Spaces. Their communities have also directly benefited financially, with more than $1 million in value distributed, shared or generated for followers and Space listeners through crypto assets, NFTs, trading opportunities, giveaways and other forms of community support.

Much of that activity is publicly verifiable through on-chain transactions and archived posts, providing a clearer picture of how those communities extended beyond commentary alone.

That history matters because it changes the relationship between host and audience. These weren't simply large Spaces attracting temporary listeners during periods of market excitement. A substantial core of the audience continued returning because the communities around Booksey and ShiLLin_ViLLian had developed a track record of sharing access, information and value with the people participating in them.

That longevity separates a community from a temporary audience.

Years after their early involvement in Web3, Alan Bachkhaz and Walter Bernardo remain active voices within Crypto Twitter, hosting conversations and moving into new areas of the market alongside the communities they built.

In an industry permanently searching for what comes next, longevity remains one of the simplest measures of relevance:

They were there. They stayed. And their communities stayed with them.
