As 2027 Open Enrollment Nears, WhatIsHealthShare.com Helps Consumers Compare Their Options
St. George, Utah - October 29, 2026 - With federal Marketplace Open Enrollment for 2027 beginning November 1, WhatIsHealthShare.com is encouraging individuals, families, self-employed professionals, and small-business owners to compare healthcare options before they renew or change a plan.
The timing is significant. KFF’s analysis of public filings from 276 Marketplace insurers reports a median proposed premium increase of 15% for 2027 across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Proposed changes are not final consumer premiums and vary by location, plan, and household circumstances, but the filings give many households a reason to look closely at their options.
WhatIsHealthShare.com is not built to steer every visitor away from Marketplace coverage. For some households, an ACA plan may remain the better fit, particularly when subsidies, ongoing medical care, provider networks, prescriptions, or other benefits are central to the decision. The website starts with a clear comparison, current source material, and the questions a household should ask before taking any next step.
“Open Enrollment should not force a rushed decision,” said Eric Baird, founder of WhatIsHealthShare.com. “People deserve a straightforward explanation of what HealthShare is, what it is not, and how to compare it with the coverage they have today. Our role is to help people learn first, then decide for themselves.”
The platform includes a 2027 HealthShare membership-contribution estimator, a searchable quick reference to HealthShare member guidelines, source-guided answers to common questions, practical resources for planned care and open enrollment, and the option to schedule a free one-on-one learning session.
HealthShare is not insurance. Members’ monthly contributions support a medical cost-sharing community, and each HealthShare program’s member guidelines determine whether a medical expense is eligible for sharing. HealthShare membership does not guarantee payment of medical expenses. WhatIsHealthShare.com does not promise eligibility, sharing, payment, or savings.
On HealthCare.gov, Open Enrollment begins November 1. December 15 is the federal deadline for Marketplace coverage beginning January 1, and Open Enrollment ends January 15. Consumers using state-based Marketplaces should verify the dates that apply to their state.
