Viasat sinks on unexpected event related to ViaSat-3 Americas satellite

Viasat (NASDAQ: VSAT) shares plunged more than 21% after-hours following the company’s disclosure regarding an unexpected event during reflector deployment that may significantly affect the performance of the ViaSat-3 Americas satellite.

The company mentioned that there is no disruption to customers, and the coverage and capacity of the Viasat and Inmarsat constellations remain unaffected.
