U.K. baroness Margaret Thatcher passed away Monday, the Press Association said today.
Speaking on Sky News, Thatcher's spokesperson Lord Bell commented, "It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning." She passed following a stroke, Ball stated.
Thatcher served as Prime Minister of the U.K. from 1979 to 1990. She was 87 at the time of death.
