The Dow lost 5.45 points to close at 13,422.28, the Nasdaq added 3.02 points to close at 2,608.37, and the S&P 500 lost 0.63 points to close at 1,505.71. The Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged at 5.25%. Separately, Oil gained $0.60 to close at $69.57.
Volume was modest with the NYSE trading 3.03 billion shares and 2.01 billion traded on the Nasdaq. Advancers topped Decliners by a margin of 18:14 on the NYSE and 15:14 on the Nasdaq.
In individual stories, CryoCor, Inc. (Nasdaq: CRYO) closed up 89% after announcing that the Advisory Panel of the FDA recommended that CryoCor\'s application for pre-market approval, or PMA, for the treatment of atrial flutter be approved by the FDA. Digital River (NASDAQ: DRIV) fell 11.2% after the company said it sees Q2 revenues of $78 million, versus prior guidance of $85 million. Sees Q2 non-GAAP EPS of $0.38-$0.39, versus prior guidance of $0.46. The consensus is $85.25 million and $0.46. The Company also announced that its board of directors has authorized an expanded share repurchase program to buy back up to $200 million in the Company\'s common stock. Jefferies & Co also downgraded the stock.
