Investing.com -- A Tesla showroom in Texas was the target of an attempted attack after police said Monday that multiple "incendiary" devices were found at showroom.
“When officers arrived on scene, they located suspicious devices, and called the APD Bomb Squad to investigate,” the department said. “The devices, which were determined to be incendiary, were taken into police custody without incident.”
“This is an open and ongoing investigation, and there is no further information available for release at this time,” the department said.
The attack comes in the wake of growing abuse aimed at the Tesla for CEO Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration.
Musk is leading the department of government efficiency, or DOGE, which is tasked with cutting federal spending as part of a wider effort to bring down the nation's debt.
Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) was up more than 10% in recent trade Monday.
