Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk to Host SNL on May 8th

SNL announced over the weekend that Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk will host the show on May 8th, with musical guest Miley Cyrus.

Musk teased at a potential surprise during the live show, tweeting: "Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is," with a devil emoji.

The billionaire is not just a famous entrepreneur for starting Tesla and SpaceX, among others, but is a pop culture icon with 52 million Twitter followers. He has weighed in on everything from UFOs to the trapped Thai schoolboys in 2018.

Musk has his share of critics as well, including the SEC, which took action against him for his August 2018 Twitter post regarding potentially taking Tesla private. He is also under been scrutiny recently for his relentless promotion of cryptocurrency Dogecoin, and for potentially misleading statements about Tesla's full self-driving capabilities.
