Ted Cruz said he asked for communication director Rick Tyler's resignation.
The call for the communication director's job follows the re-tweeting by Tyler overnight of a video purportedly showing rival Marco Rubio saying "not many answers in there", referring to a Bible a Cruz staff member was reading.
What Rubio actually said was "all the answers are in there."
Tyler apologized to Rubio earlier today for the error, but not before the damage had been done.
It appears Cruz moved quick to fire Tyler over the latest campaign flap as some voters, especially evangelicals, have lost trust in him for playing dirty politics with Ben Carson and now Rubio.
