Research In Motion Limited (Nasdaq: RIMM) 20.6% HIGHER; reports Q1 GAAP EPS of $1.17 (Adjusted $1.20) vs. consensus of $1.06. Revenue for the first quarter of fiscal 2008 was $1.082 billion, versus the consensus of $1.05 billion. Revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 ending September 1, 2007 is expected to be in the range of $1.3-$1.365 billion. GAAP earnings per share for the second quarter are expected to be in the range of $1.37-$1.49 diluted or 45-49 cents per share diluted on a post-split basis, factoring the effective 3-for-1 stock split announced separately.

CryoCor, Inc. (Nasdaq: CRYO) 20.3% HIGHER; and Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) announced a strategic collaboration in the field of cryoablation, or the use of extreme cold, for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

Interoil Corp. (AMEX: IOC) 20% LOWER; Continues lower on no news.

Packeteer Inc. (Nasdaq: PKTR) 19% LOWER; received an Examination Report from the Internal Revenue Service dated June 27, 2007 claiming that the Company owes additional income taxes, plus penalties and interest, for the 2003 and 2004 tax years. The incremental tax liability asserted by the IRS is approximately $122 million plus penalties of $49 million, excluding interest

Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ: BBOX) 14% HIGHER; for the fourth quarter Fiscal 2007, diluted earnings per share were 39 cents. Excluding reconciling items, operating earnings per share for fourth quarter Fiscal 2007 were 71 cents. (Consensus is $0.55 - note only 1 analyst). Fourth quarter Fiscal 2007 total revenues were $250 million, an increase of $75 million or 43% from $175 million for the same quarter last year. On a sequential quarter comparison basis, third quarter Fiscal 2007 total revenues were $265 million. (Consensus is $258.08 million).

American Home Mortgage Investment Corp. (NYSE: AHM) 12.7% LOWER; said it will take substantial charges for credit-related expenses in the second quarter. As a result, the Company\'s second quarter financial results are uncertain, and it is likely the Company will experience a second quarter loss. Because of Company\'s second quarter results and current conditions in the mortgage industry, the Company is withdrawing its previously issued earnings guidance for 2007.

Apollo Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: APOL) 12.7% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.75, 5 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $733.4 million vs. $701.26 million consensus. Increased the size of the existing share repurchase program to up to $500 million.

The Talbots, Inc. (NYSE: TLB) 11% HIGHER; appointed Trudy F. Sullivan as the Company\'s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 6, 2007. Sullivan was President of Liz Claiborne (NYSE: LIZ).

Gevity (Nasdaq: GVHR) 11% LOWER; sees Q2 EPS of $0.17, at the lower end of prior guidance of $0.17 to $0.19 per diluted share and the consensus of $0.20. For the full year, Gevity is now expecting earnings per diluted share of between $0.70 and $0.95 compared to previous guidance of at least $1.27 and the consensus of $1.16.

comScore (Nasdaq: SCOR) 10.5% LOWER; This weeks hot IPO gives back some gains. The stock was up 42% after debuting on Wednesday and was up 9% yesterday.
