Commercial Bankshares (Nasdaq: CLBK) 29% HIGHER; Enters into a definitive agreement to merge Commercial Bankshares, Inc. and its subsidiary Commercial Bank of Florida into Colonial BancGroup, Inc. and Colonial Bank, N.A. The transaction has an aggregate value of $317 million and a value for each share of Commercial Bankshares common stock of $49.36.

StarTek, Inc. (NYSE: SRT) 24.5% HIGHER; Says total revenues are expected to be approximately $238 million for the full year 2006, versus the consensus $243.34 million. Fourth quarter revenues are expected to be approximately $59 million, versus the consensus of $64.84 million. The Company expects fully diluted earnings per share in the range of $0.07 to $0.09 per share for the fourth quarter of 2006, versus the consensus of $0.16 and $0.38 to $0.40 per share for the full year, versus the consensus of $0.47.

Nitches, Inc. (NASDAQ: NICH) 20.6% HIGHER; Net Sales increased 141% to $35.4 million. Earnings per basic share of $.27 versus year ago $.14 per share. Order backlog up 50% to $35.1 million

Nutrition 21 (NASDAQ: NXXI) 14.3% HIGHER; Announced that daily supplementation with Selenomax, the company's high selenium yeast product, suppressed progression of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) and improved immune cell CD4 counts in HIV-1 seropositive men and women.

Coley Pharmaceutical Group (Nasdaq: COLY) 13.75% LOWER; The company has made the strategic decision to suspend the independent development of ACTILON, its product candidate for the treatment of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.

O.I. Corporation (NASDAQ: OICO) 11.6% LOWER; At the request of its Board of Directors and its president and chief executive officer, it is conducting a voluntary internal review of the company's historical stock option grants, stock option exercises and related option and compensation procedures and certain accounting matters. In addition, the company announced that on January 21, 2007, William W. Botts voluntarily agreed to be placed on paid administrative leave from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer.

United Microelectronics Corp. (NYSE: UMC) 11.5% HIGHER; Company said it will return 30% capital to shareholders.

Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) 8.5% LOWER; Warns for Q4. Expects reported revenues for the fourth quarter of 2006 to be approximately Euro 3.87 billion and reported operating income to be approximately Euro 0.12 billion, including the impact from purchase accounting entries of approximately Euro (0.23) billion.

Chicago Bridge & Iron (NYSE: CBI) 8.1% HIGHER; Company announced a contract by Peru LNG S.R.L. for the engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction plant in Pampa Malchorita, Peru, located about 170 kilometers south of Lima. CB&I's commercial scope of work is valued in excess of US$1.5 billion.

AK Steel Holding Corp. (NYSE: AKS) 7.3% HIGHER; Reports Q4 loss of $0.45 vs. consensus of $0.19 (may not be comparable). Revenues were $1.58 billion vs. $1.47 billion consensus. AK Steel said it expects shipments in the first quarter of 2007 to be comparable to the 2006 fourth-quarter level. The company anticipates that its first-quarter 2007 average per-ton selling prices will be 4% to 5% higher than in the fourth quarter of 2006.

D.R. Horton (NYSE: DHI) 6.9% HIGHER; Reports Q1 EPS of $0.35 (which included pre-tax charges to cost of sales of $40.9 million ($0.08 per diluted share) of inventory impairments and $36.8 million ($0.07 per diluted share) of write-offs of deposits and pre-acquisition costs related to land option contracts that the Company does not intend to pursue) vs. $0.33 consensus. Revenues were $2.8 billion vs. $2.76 billion consensus. Also, Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock this morning.
