Point Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: POTP) 35% HIGHER; provided preliminary results from the Company's open-label Phase 2 trial of talabostat plus gemcitabine in patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer (Stage IV) who have not received prior chemotherapy. Of the 21 evaluable patients who entered the study at least six months ago, ten (48%) have survived more than six months. In addition, 31 patients are currently evaluable for tumor response. To date, three patients (9.7%) have demonstrated a clinical response to treatment, including one complete response and two partial responses.
Phazar Corp. (NASDAQ: ANTP) 22% HIGHER; reports Q2 results. reports Q2 EPS of $0.09 compared to $0.31 for the same period last year. Revenues were $1,603,851, compared to $3,765,347 for the same period in 2005.
RC2 Corporation (NASDAQ: RCRC) 17% LOWER; announced lower than expected preliminary net sales. Net sales from continuing operations for the fourth quarter of 2006, which excludes the trading card and sports collectibles business which was sold on November 1, 2006, were flat to slightly down versus the prior year fourth quarter net sales from continuing operations of approximately $154 million, which compares to the consensus of $169.3 million.
Napster (Nasdaq: NAPS) 13% HIGHER; AOL (NYSE: TWX) and Napster announced that Napster will become the exclusive music subscription provider integrated into AOL Music, replacing AOL Music Now.
AsiaInfo Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA) 10% HIGHER; recently signed a contract with China Unicom to develop its national CDMA push mail platform.
PDF Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDFS) 10% LOWER; lowers guidance. PDF Solutions expects total revenue in the range of $18.7 million to $19.1 million for the fourth fiscal quarter ending December 31, 2006. (Current consensus is $21.77 million). Sees non-GAAP EPS of $0.05 to $0.07 per diluted share. (Current Q4 EPS consensus is $0.14.
AMD (NYSE: AMD) 6.6% LOWER; said revenue, excluding ATI-related segments, for the fourth quarter is expected to increase approximately 3% from the $1.33 billion reported in the third quarter (consensus is $1.85 billion). Fourth quarter operating income, excluding ATI-related segments and acquisition-related charges, is expected to be positive but substantially lower than in the third quarter.
CalAmp Corp. (Nasdaq: CAMP) 6% LOWER; reports Q3 adj EPS of $0.08, versus the consensus of $0.06. Revenues came in at $61.1 million, versus the consensus of $61.06 million. Sees Q4 adj EPS of $0.07-$0.11 versus the consensus of $0.06. Sees Q4 revenues of $54-$60 million versus the consensus of $60.4 million.
SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) 3.9% HIGHER; bounces after yesterday's 10.4% drop on lowered Q4 guidance.
Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) 3% HIGHER; UBS upgrades to Buy
Netflix, Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) 3% LOWER; JP Morgan downgrade
Murphy Oil Corporation (NYSE: MUR) 2.4% LOWER; expects income for the fourth quarter of 2006 to be between $0.40-$0.45 per diluted share. (Current consensus $0.65)
JDA Software Group (Nasdaq: JDAS) 2% LOWER; anticipates total Q4 revenues of approximately $89 million, versus the consensus of $93.86 million.
