Focus Media (Nasdaq: FMCN) 5.3% HIGHER; reports Q3 (non-GAAP) EPS of $0.55, 6 cents better than estimates.(0.49) Revenues were $61.1 million vs. $59.27 million consensus. Sees Q4 EPS between $0.62-0.64 vs. consensus of $0.56. Sees Q4 revenues between $67-69 milllion vs. $68.04 million.
Medtronic (NYSE: MDT) 5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.59, 3 cents better than estimates.(0.56) Revenues were $3.075 billion vs. $2.97 billion consensus.
Blue Coat Systems (Nasdaq: BCSI) 4% LOWER' reports Q2 revenues of $40.2 million vs. $37.97 million consensus, delays EPS. For the third fiscal quarter ending January 31, 2007, the Company currently anticipates net revenue in the range of $40 - $45 million. Current consensus is $43.55 million.
Trident Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRID) 3% LOWER; Announces departure of CEO following options probel
Fifth Third (Nasdaq: FITB) 2% LOWER; has decided to strategically shift the composition of its balance sheet. The actions, as well as current expectations for the quarter, are expected to result in earnings per share in the fourth quarter of 2006 of approximately $0.06 to $0.08. For the full year 2006, earnings per share are expected to be approximately $2.07 to $2.09. Current Q4 EPS consensus is $0.66 and FY06 EPS consensus is $2.68.
Advanced Magnetics, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMAG) 2% LOWER; announced operating results and revenues for the fourth fiscal quarter and year ended September 30, 2006. Revenues for the quarter were $350,834 compared to revenues of $407,452 for the same period in fiscal 2005. The company reported a net loss of ($9,346,940), or ($0.78) per share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2006 compared to a net loss of ($3,576,536), or ($0.36) per share, for the same period in fiscal 2005.
