InterMune Inc. (Nasdaq: ITMN) 28.9% HIGHER; Roche and InterMune entered into an exclusive worldwide collaboration agreement to develop and commercialize products from InterMune's HCV protease inhibitor program. Upon closing, InterMune will receive from Roche an upfront payment of $60 million. In addition, assuming the successful development and commercialization of ITMN-191 in the U.S. and other countries, InterMune could potentially receive up to $470 million in milestones, including $35 million within the next 12 months.

SonoSite Inc. (Nasdaq: SONO) 15% LOWER; The company said that worldwide revenue in the third quarter of 2006 increased by approximately 16% over the third quarter of 2005 to $40 million and that it expects to report earnings on a GAAP basis of $0.01 to $0.02 per diluted share. Current Q3 EPS consensus is $0.16 (may not be comparable) and revenue consensus is $42.59 million.

Stanley Furniture (Nasdaq: STLY) 11.7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.26, 2 cents worse than estimates.(0.28) Revenues were $75.9 million vs. $82.51 million consensus. Sees Q4 revenues between $69-71.5 million vs. $81.25 million consensus. Sees Q4 EPS between $.13 to $.16 vs. $0.25. Sees FY revenues between $305.9-308.4 million vs. $324.5 million consensus. Sees FY EPS between $1.15 to $1.18 vs. $1.28 consensus.

Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) 9.2 LOWER; sees third quarter net sales of $193 million to $195 million, with a a pro forma loss per diluted share is expected to range from $0.12 to $0.14. The current consensus is $223.08 million and earnings of $0.08, respectively.

Array Biopharma Inc. (Nasdaq: ARRY) 7.9% HIGHER; Higher following InterMune's (Nasdaq: ITMN) worldwide collaboration agreement with Roche to develop and commercialize products from InterMune's HCV protease inhibitor program, including InterMune's lead candidate compound ITMN-191. ITMN-191, an orally available hepatitis C virus (HCV) protease inhibitor, was developed in a collaboration between InterMune research scientists and Array BioPharma.

Universal Forest Products (Nasdaq: UFPI) 6.3% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.91, 22 cents worse than estimates.(1.13) Revenues were $672.9 million vs. $738.84 million consensus.

Lumera Corp. (Nasdaq: LMRA) 5% HIGHER; continued momentum following today's 216% run-up on successful test news.

PPD Inc. (Nasdaq: PPDI) 5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.31, in-line with estimates.(0.31) Revenues were $313.1 million vs. $294.27 million consensus. PPD also announced today that Fred B. Davenport, Jr., its president, has decided not to renew his employment agreement and that his employment with the company will end effective December 31, 2006.

Werner Enterprises Inc. (Nasdaq: WERN) 4.5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.31, 3 cents worse than estimates. Revenues were $541.3 million vs. $536.26 million consensus.
