State Alloweed to Challenge Health Care Law After Judge Ruling
States looking to overturn President Barack Obama's health care reform bill can proceed with lawsuit, according to a ruling by U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson in Florida on Thursday.
Vinson had said last month that he would reject a motion from the Justice Department to dismiss the lawsuit that is being led by Florida and 19 other states.
The suit was filed by mostly Republican state attorneys general.
Vinson said in his ruling that the case would continue as scheduled. The hearing for the case was previously set for December 16.
