Republic Technologies agrees software licensing partnership with Sign Foundation

Investing.com -- Canadian Securities Exchange-listed Republic Technologies Inc. will announce today that it has entered into a worldwide software licensing agreement with Sign Foundation, securing rights to the blockchain-based verification company's core technology stack, Investing.com has learned.

The deal, entered into this month, grants the Canadian-listed technology company a non-exclusive global license to deploy Sign's S.I.G.N. architecture, which comprises Sign Protocol, an omni-chain attestation framework for creating and verifying structured claims on blockchain networks, and Sign App, a system for managing verifiable digital agreements with auditable, tamper-resistant records.

For Republic, which operates Ethereum validator infrastructure backed by an ETH-denominated treasury, the license will support its development of attestation and validator capabilities across digital agreements, disclosures and capital markets workflows.

Sign Foundation Co-Founder and Chief Executive Xin Yan believes the partnership gives investors "a transparent, auditable way to engage with the verification layer being rebuilt across multiple economies," with Republic's public disclosure standards aligning with the demands of Sign's government and enterprise client base.

Republic Technologies Chief Executive Daniel Liu described the company's approach as providing shareholders with "considered, disclosure-driven exposure to selected infrastructure layers of the next generation of the internet," with Sign's verification technology representing a core piece of that strategy.

Beyond the executed license, the two parties have a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore broader collaboration, including jointly developed technical frameworks for public-company issuers, research on verifiable credentials and programmable capital, and potential pilot programs with Sign's existing public-sector clients.

Technical alignment between Republic's Ethereum validator activity and Sign's attestation networks is also under evaluation.
