Morgan Stanley notes India equity inflows fell in July

Investing.com -- Equity inflows into Indian funds dropped to Rs274 billion in July from Rs458 billion in June, excluding exchange-traded funds, according to Morgan Stanley.

Systematic Investment Plan inflows reached Rs320 billion in July, up from Rs318 billion in June and approaching record levels. Non-SIP flows turned negative at Rs46 billion of outflows in July compared to Rs9 billion of inflows in June.

ETF inflows totaled Rs110 billion in July, down from Rs132 billion in June.

Equity funds held 3.9% of assets in cash at the end of June, marking the lowest level since October 2020.

In fixed income, short-duration funds attracted Rs1,905 billion in inflows during July. Medium- and long-duration funds recorded Rs10 billion in outflows over the same period.
