Hedge Fund Manager Commits Suicide Related To Madoff Scam

December 23, 2008 1:02 PM EST
Hedge fund manager, Thierry Magon de La Villehuchet, who ran Access International, was found dead in his New York office on Madison Avenue. De La Villehuchet's hedge fund, Access International Advisors, invested $1.4 billion with Madoff. Police are reportedly calling the hedge fund manager's death a suicide.

Access’s LUXALPHA SICAV-American Selection invested solely with Madoff. Access said last week that it was working with lawyers to assess the situation. No one answered the phone of the French hedge fund when Bloomberg called it today.
