HCI Group Inc. (NYSE: HCI) will replace Maidenform Brands Inc. (NYSE: MFB) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Friday, October 4. S&P MidCap 400 constituent Hanesbrands Inc. (NYSE: HBI) is acquiring Maidenform Brands in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date pending final approvals.
HCI Group provides property and casualty insurance products. Headquartered in Tampa, FL, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Property & Casualty Insurance Sub-Industry index.
