Former Patriots tight end, 23-year-old Aaron Hernandez, was charged with murder and weapons counts, according to crossing headlines Wednesday.
The charges were in accordance with the slaying of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, whose body was found roughly one mile from Hernandez's North Attleborough home.
Charges were announced in Attleboro District Court, the AP noted.
The New England Patriots cut Hernandez two hours following his initial arrest today.
