Energy Future Holdings Proposes Prepackaged Bankruptcy

Energy Future Holdings, previously TXU Corp, has proposed a prepackaged bankruptcy plan to eliminate $30 billion in debt.

Owners of the parent company include private equity firms KKR (NYSE: KKR) and TPG and Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) private-equity unit.
