EU Commission keeps contact with Anthropic over decision to disable models in EU

BRUSSELS, ‌June 16 (Reuters) - ​The ​European Commission is ‌still in contact with ⁠U.S. artificial intelligence ‌company Anthropic over ‌its decision to disable its most ​advanced AI models following ⁠an order from the ​government and other issues, a Commission spokesperson ​said on ‌Tuesday.

Anthropic had said on ⁠Friday it disabled its most ⁠advanced models for all ​users after the U.S. government ordered it to ‌suspend access for foreign ‌nationals, citing ⁠national security ‌concerns.
