Charter Communications CFO Fischer to step down in October
Aug 31 (Reuters) - Charter Communications said on Monday that Chief Financial Officer Jessica Fischer would step down on October 15 and named Kevin Howard interim CFO.
The company, shares of which were down over 2% in extended trading, said it would immediately launch a search for a finance chief.
Howard, currently Charter's executive vice president and chief accounting officer and controller, previously served as interim CFO in 2010.
The departure comes while Charter contends with steeper-than-expected losses in its broadband customer base, as traditional cable internet faces stiff competition from telecom rivals.
Fischer, who joined Charter nearly a decade ago and became CFO in 2021, will relocate for another professional opportunity, the company said in a statement.
