Blackrock names CEO of Saudi Aramco to its board

BlackRock (NYSE: BLK) announced that the CEO of Aramco, the Saudi Arabian Oil company, will be joining BlackRock's Board of Directors.
Amin Hassan Ali Nasser, the President and CEO of Aramco, a major global energy company, will now serve as an independent director on BlackRock's Board. Nasser has held a board seat at Aramco since 2010, serving as president and CEO since 2015, and played a key role in the successful IPO of the company.
At the same time, preparations are being made for the departure of another Board member. Bader M. Alsaad, the Director General and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development, will complete his term this year and will not seek re-election to the Board in 2024. Alsaad has been a member of the BlackRock Board since 2019.
