Investing.com -- Bank of America released a mid-period update on US packaged food trends based on Nielsen scanner data for the four weeks ended July 25, 2026.
The data covers sales across all outlets combined plus convenience stores, club stores including Costco, pet specialty retailers, and Amazon's first-party sales.
Total food sales rose 2.5% during the four-week period, driven entirely by price increases of 2.5% while volumes remained flat.
Sequential sales growth increased across most of the bank's coverage universe. BellRing Brands (NYSE: BRBR) and O-I Glass (NYSE: OI) saw sales growth accelerate by more than 150 basis points.
The Hershey Company (NYSE: HSY) and Tyson Foods (NYSE: TSN) experienced sales deceleration of more than 150 basis points during the same period.
