Alex Becomes First Hurricane of the Season
Alex was upgraded to a hurricane late last night, making it the first hurricane of the season.
The hurricane is heading west toward Mexico and a section of Texas coastline, but currently it is not expected to cross the Gulf oil spill clean-up.
This is the first June hurricane in the Atlantic since 1995.
The storm is expected to make landfall Wednesday evening with winds of about at least 90 mph.
