Agreement on Greek Aid Package Could Be Delayed til July
Speaking to the press in Brussels Tuesday, Luxembourg's Finance Minister Luc Frieden said an agreement on a new aid plan for Greece could be delayed into July.
The warning comes just one day after Standard & Poor's downgraded Greece's long-term sovereign rating to CCC and ahead of previously-state goals to have an aid package ready by the end of June.
Frieden said several options for the ailing country "still have to be studied." The IMF, the European Central Bank and the European Commission will each create plans for a bailout of Greece.
European officials will meet again on June 19 in Luxembourg.
