1/21: World Markets Sink
As US markets were idle for the Martin Luther King holiday, stocks around the world sold off. US futures fell the most since 2001. The world sell-off is being attributed to fears the US finanicial stimulus will not be enough to stop a recession.
Europe's Dow Jones Stoxx 600 sold off 5.7%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index sold off the most in six years on fears Bank of China will have a large write off due to US subprime exposure.
