The US 10-year Treasury yield hit its highest level in 24 years on Thursday, as a brutal bonds selloff gathered pace.
It rose to as high as 5.342%, surpassing its 2007 peak, and hitting its highest since early 2002. The global benchmark posted its biggest quarterly rise this century in the third quarter.
