Turkish Lira Rebounds as Central Bank to Hold Special Meeting
The Turkish Lira, the center of last week's emerging market currency troubles which rocked the U.S. and global stock markets, is making a comeback Monday after the Turkish central bank said it will hold a special interest-rate meeting late Tuesday.
The Turkish central bank said it would publish a decision midnight local time (2200 GMT) on Tuesday.
Markets are anticipating the central bank raising rates, which has pushed the lira higher.
