Greece Makes Payment on IMF Loan Following Treasury Sale (GREK) (FXE)

European stocks are on watch today following news that Greece made a loan payment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to market reports, Greece gave the order for a €459 million payment on its IMF loan after raising €1.14 billion in an auction for six-month Treasury bills.

Later on in April, Greece will need to pay another €400 million in interest and roll over about €2.4 billion in three- and six-month Treasury bills which are due to mature on April 14th and 17th.

Shares of National Bank of Greece (NYSE: NBG) may be one to watch amid the news. The euro is slightly lower versus the U.S. dollar early Thursday.
