Rexahn (RNN) Rips Following Positive Archexin Phase II Data

Shares of Rexahn Pharmaceuticals (AMEX: RNN) are ripping higher in premarket action Tuesday, following strong data issued earlier from its Phase II clinical study of Archexin.
According to Rexahn, "the study demonstrated that treatment with Archexin in combination with gemcitabine provided a median survival of 9.1 months compared to the historical survival data of 5.65 months (Burris et al., 1997, J. Clin Oncol 15:2403) for standard single agent gemcitabine therapy."
Shares are up nearly 40 percent in early trading.
